The issue is fairly easy to understand, I have no idea how to fix it.

When I set a date for an event, it shows up correctly on the event, but the calender shows the event on the day after the date I set for the event.

    Example:

    Event 1 : 30-01-2012
Calender shows this event taking place on the day after : 31-01-2012

Where is this problem steming from?

Can you please tell me, what’s the timezone settings in your Joomla config? Also please post the exact date for the event (date and time). For me it seems a timezone issue, but I need more information to fix it.

Well you’re right, I found out what the issue was…But still sort of confused about it

I had my timezone in Joomla set to Toronto (EST) and when I changed it back to UTC and it allowed me to set the correct times.

Now I have a question in regards to this whole time zone thing with the Calender

When I place in an event at 21:00, does it show everyone regardless of what timezone they are in “21:00” and if so, is there a way to have it so that the times on the events change based on what time zone the logged in user is?

RaidPlanner is timezone aware. It means if you setup an event for 21:00 it means 21:00 on your time, every users with different timezone setting should see the event time adjusted for their own timezone.
Please check, that your (user) timezone and server timezone has correctly configured. If so, and it still not working, please let me know your joomla version, server timezone setting, and your timezone setting.
    Thx.

Ok, just so I am clear. When I, located in MST create an event for 20:00, somebody in PST will see it as 19:00? The Joomla server is set at PST and my personal timezone (I usually plan the raids) is MST. Also, the Raidplanner Today module will not show events happening today. For example, we have a raid tonight, March 8th, 2012 at 20:00. The Raidplanner Events module shows it, the calendar shows it, but the Raidplanner Today says “No events today”.

It seems that RaidPlanner modules are not handling timezones correctly, I’ll check that.

Hey Taracque, any status on the timezone issue?

Also, NazTheEternal, did you complete the SWTOR version yet?

That should be fixed in 0.5.8.
