    Hi Taracque,

looks like I can’t understand how to associate a username to the characters i put in the roster on stalkingcuties.com from the frontend. I can do it by the backend of joomla, but i really need all the users on our site to be able to set usernames without the need of permissions on /administrator

Still I see that some characters have indeed a username set, so I guess that there may be a way to do it, it may just don’t work for me or being a bit ” broken ”

Now you fixed the ” edit characters ” function, but I cannot find any ” username ” field in the edit window.

Still some characters have a username on the roster, I have no idea how they did it 🙂

May you please check and explain me how to set the usernames ?

    Thanks

    marco

Users can be connected to a character either on backend by the admin, or via the frontend. Once a user choses a character in the Profile settings and saves his/her profile, the character will be assigned to him/her.

Ok. The problem is that Kunena doesn’t support special sections on the profile editor page. Also if kunena installed you must use kunena profile page to edit profile information.
So I’ve turned off the RaidPlanner section in User – RaidPlanner plugin configuration, and now the Character field is visible on Kunena profile page.
Please change the Edit your characters menu to point to Kunena profile page.

I changed the menu voice as you asked, but the result is the same, no username association

I’m really sorry to annoy with such a boring issue :°)

Feel free to ask for more collaboration from me if you want and have time to work more on this fix

    Thanks

    Marco

Fixed now. Very silly bug, happened because Joomla silently removed the JDatabase::getEscaped call and instead of throwing and error, they simply returned an empty string…
