RaidCall for Mac
Welcome to RaidCall for Mac (v7.2-1 last update: 2013/04/22)
(for Mac OS X 10.6 and later)
As RaidCall dropped Macintosh support in their software, I’ve made a modified Windows version (a custom Wine wrapper around it), which runs on Mac(!!!).
It can be downloaded from here (New, 7.2.0 version, should work with Mac OS X > 10.6, this is a test version. Report bugs in forum pls!)
This version CAN be used in Push To Talk mode, however it’s really untested.
Enable access for assistive devices must be check in Universal Access system preference, to make PTT work!
First launch can be very long (up to 5 minutes) without any indication, that’s anything happens, please be patient!
If RaidCall crashes, start it with Alt key pressed, it will resets RaidCall preferences (that usually helps)
Current status of PTT mode:
Initial PTT code has been inserted, so it should work somehow. Only keyboard key can be used for PTT and there are some limitations:
- Command key is recognized as Alt, and alt key’s are not working.
- If you press Alt-Command-Q key it will quits RaidCall, even if it’s running in background.

This is an alpha version, may contains serious bugs.
Overlay not working, and probably never will. Once I’ve finished the PTT issue I’ll check that again.

Updates are ENABLED in this version, but be carefull, any update MAY kill the Mac version.
My RC account have been banned ( I really don’t care, but FuckYou RaidCall, worst support ever! )
In the website section I posted the error I get when I attempt to login with your software. Is there anything I can do for compatibility? Or do you not support this software at all anymore?

mac updated to 10.8.3.
Not drop the account raidcall. Entwine offers the program, click Yes everything is lost, and did not start until a reboot. If you push the X window to close the offer updates like how the konekt but does not establish a connection
What to do on 10.8.3. ?
What’s the problem with the current version RC? I can’t login, because of the old version. How ways are to solve this problem?

me dice q el programa esta desactualizado y me da la opcion de actualizar, y al escoger cualquiera de esas opciones se cierra y da un error de update, ya tengo instalado el Xquartz.

Well now what? It was working perfectly until last time I tried to log in. Says it won’t allow me to log in with that raidcall version. Any solution?
Every time that i try to log in to my account on RC nowadays it says that i need an update… is there an updated version for mac? anything that i could do?

Hey, I was using my raidcall yesterday and then it suddenly crashed, so when I try to re-open it, it just closes itself…. So I tried to re-install it, but the updater doesn’t work… It just says “Your version of RaidCall is no long supported.
Please update to the newest version.”
Which I then click okay and it just then closes itself, any reasons and solutions on how and why this is happening? =/
Did you remove the update or made it unavailable? because I’ve nearly tried everything and it’s still not working

Hi ! I just downloaded it but when I try to log in appears an error message saying that I need to update to the newest version, and when I click “Ok” RaidCall closes and nothing happens.
Finally I could update it, but the problem now is that I can’t hear anything in RaidCall…
I got a popup that says that I need the newer version of RaidCall to use. I’m not sure why, would it have anything to do with the fact I have a 10.6.8?

If the pic links do not work, i can tell you that i keep getting a DDE failure and am unable to connect
DDE failure is occured when RaidCall tries to connect to Facebook. However that should not affect RaidCall operation…

Hi I can’t install it. When i downloaded the Raidcall 7.0.2 i tryed to launch it but didnt even pop the instalation window, the application just quits itself. What’s wrong?
There is no install window, you can download the application directly. Try 7.2, if that doesn’t work, you have to remove the RaidCall directory from you ~/Library/Application Support folder.
Yeah now it works but the “press to talk button” problem is still there, are you gonna fix it? thanks for all you hard work
PTT have to be completely rewritten, I’ve made it during the weekend, so hopefully I can post a test version today.
Try the latest version, it has the initial support for PTT.
I’ve tried it but still can’t use PTT when i’m using a different window.

I am having trouble connecting with raid call for mac, i downloaded the 7-1.0.2 / clicked the link above most recent link, and when i try to log in to my raid call, it just says that this version is no longer supported please update to the newest version. Is there a newer version for the mac? cause its not automatically updating or anything.

OS X 10.8.3: everything works fine but overlay doesn’t
Overlay needs much more works, I’m not sure that it will ever work…
The main issue everyone tells me is I cut out. I know its not my mic because on skype and other platforms I don’t have the issue. Plus I just bought a brand new headset less than a week ago. Just wondering if there is a solution or if others are having the same issue.

Do you mean, that it works somehow, but while you speak, sometimes you are “muted”?

Ya it works, its just when im talking or explaining something people have a really hard time understanding me because I cut out all the time. I guess you could call it short spurts of “muted”

Is this a common issue or is it something to do with my settings? Or is it client based from the wrap?
The problem I’m facing with the current Raid Call is that it keeps crashing even after I tried to open it while pressing the Alt button to reset the preferences. Any suggestions on how to fix it?
What os are you using? What crashing means? It simply quits, or you got an error dialog?

I am having the same problem as well. I have OSX 10.7 and after a few minutes to about 20 minutes, Raidcall crashes and says something like “Invalid parameters set for wine something”.

Hey, It’s Max again… So I’ve downloaded the newest version that you’ve uploaded about a month or two ago but… I just tried to open it and it comes up with the “this version is no longer supported” or whatever, and then the updater message pops up, I click okay then it says “http error” and then just closes itself afterwards =/
