RaidCall for Mac
Welcome to RaidCall for Mac (v7.3.4-2 last update: 2014/04/16)
(for Mac OS X 10.6 and later)
Before post any angry comments please read the full story. I’m not affiliated in any way with RaidCall. If you are angry, show it to RaidCall. I just spend my spare time to make a Mac compatible client for their crap. Unfortunately I have to work to pay bills, so its not guaranteed that this package will be updated immediately when RC releases a new version. I’m not using RaidCall and never will. I cannot give any support.
As RaidCall dropped Macintosh support in their software, I’ve made a modified Windows version (a custom Wine wrapper around it), which runs on Mac(!!!).
It can be downloaded from here (New, 7.3.4-1 version, should work with Mac OS X >= 10.6, this is a test version.)
The way how PTT worked RaidCall is killed by Apple in Mac OS X 10.9. This version CAN be used in Push To Talk mode in earlier versions of OS, however it’s really untested, and not working 100%.
Enable access for assistive devices must be check in Universal Access system preference, to make PTT work!
First launch can be very long (up to 5 minutes) without any progress indication, please be patient!
If RaidCall crashes, start it with Alt key pressed, there you can resets RaidCall preferences (that usually helps)
I’ve also added a Chnage Engine settings button to the Alt key startup page, where you can reach Wine configuration. That is mainly useful if you wan’t to install a newer version of raidcal into the wrapper. Here is how you can do it:
1. Download latest RaidCall windows version from http://raidcall.com
2. Start RaidCall app with Alt key pressed.
3. Select Change Engine settings
4. Press Install Software
5. Press Choose Setup Executable
6. Select the exe file what you have downloaded in step 1.
7. Finish the installation (Next, Next, Finish)
Current status of PTT mode:
Initial PTT code has been inserted, so it should work somehow. Only keyboard key can be used for PTT and there are some limitations:
- Doesn’t work on Mac OS X Mavericks!
- Command key is recognized as Alt, and alt key’s are not working.
- If you press Alt-Command-Q key it will quits RaidCall, even if it’s running in background.
This is an alpha version, may contains serious bugs, use at your own risk.
Overlay not working, and probably never will. Once I’ve finished the PTT issue I’ll check that again.
Updates are ENABLED in this version, but be carefull, any update MAY kill the Mac version.
My RC account have been banned ( I really don’t care, but FuckYou RaidCall, worst support ever! )
