Ok, first of all, thank you very much for the plugin.

Your new cb field is a good idea, but it seems to cause some problems.
    – First of all the option for a new character is named “JACTION_NEW neu”
    – The delete column is to small
    – The delete option is not usable
    – It doesn’t save the characters to the Joomla User(the field was selected in the cb plugin)
    – it seems the data of the field are not saved

    like always
if you want to test something:

    user: gast
    pw: gast00

I tested a bit and the Chars i enter in the new field are not saved in the joomla user manager.
The Chars also are not displayed(or even saved) in the cb field.

atm i configured it without the rp field in cb.
If you want to test it by yourself, let me know then i’ll reconfigure it.

I’ve changed the CB plugin a bit. Now it should work directly with RP database. Just enable “RaidPlanner Direct Synchronization” feature of the CB plugin, and add a Character Editor field (and set that field as Characters field in the plugin configuration).
From now RP installer automatically installs/updates CB plugin if CB is installed on the system.

    Hey…

Atm i will stay with the text area field because i just wrote a thread for my members to test the raidplanner so that i can install it to the live system.
After that i’ll test it again.

5 min before you added the direct sync i mentioned in my thread that they have to wait a bit till the char is bound to the user 😀

*has to edit his post now*

Ok, I have read every last bit of information with Community Builder, Raid Planner, and Joomla 1.7 I could to get this working. And I am at a loss.

    I am using the following:
    Joomla 1.7.3
    Community Builder 1.71
Raid Planner from this file: c134c7b

I have the plugins installed and enabled. Although, I have drop downs for most of what you ask to have typed.

Characters field shows up, however, it won’t update to show characters on the front end or on the back end.

I can assign Characters in the back end in Raid Planner. However, they don’t show up on the CB Profile in either back-end or front-end.

    Help Please!

    Thanks,
    Marko

Ok, I haven’t had a lot of time to work on this, but as of your latest update, it’s working perfectly. Thanks!

However, on the Roster View menu option, is there a way to show the username of the website member that the Character belongs to?

    Thanks,
    Marko

There’s no such posibility in roster view. I have to think it over, since this information is considered as personal data, and as such, it has to be handled very carefully.

I was looking at Username, the name they would post under in the Forum. Like on your forums, my name here is Marko, which is not my real name, LOL.

So under my CB profile: Markocius it would link my main and 2 or 3 alts.
    Characters:
    Markocius
    DPS RedShirt
    HEAL GreenShirt
    ETC

    Thanks,
    Marko

Ok, I’ve put this to the latest version in github, you can give it a try. Language files not updated, and this feature must be enabled on roster view settings.

Cool! It works, although the Column Title shows: COM_RAIDPLANNER_USER instead of “Username”

Thanks for this. It is exactly what I was looking for.

    Thanks,
    Marko
